ADULT INTERNAL MEDICINE/OUTPATIENT PRIMARY CARE - NEAR SPRINGFIELD, MA!!
Western Mass group currently has two adult internal medicine/outpatient primary care practice locations. One is on the campus of medical Center in MA and the other is located 6 miles to the east. The positions are for full time practitioners who will work 5 days per week. The physicians see an average of 25 patients per day. The primary service area consists of approximately 150,000 residents.
At one location the physician employed for this position will assume the busy practice of a physician who has relocated due to a job change for a spouse. At the second location the physician will assume the practice of a physician who recently retired. Board Certification is required for an experienced physician; Board eligibility for a recent residency graduate.
Salary is negotiable and will be determined based upon the experience and Board Certification status of the applicant. Compensation will transition to a productivity-based contract following a salary guarantee period. Some experienced physicians earn in the $180,000-$190,000 range, plus a full benefit package which includes health, dental, life, disability and malpractice insurance. Time off benefits include 4 weeks of vacation, 10 holidays, 1 week for CME. There is an annual allowance for CME programs of $1,500. Pension benefits are also available. Relocation expenses to a pre-determined maximum will also be provided.
The region is in the foothills of the Berkshires in Western Massachusetts. Outstanding private schools at all levels (elementary, secondary, college) and excellent public colleges are available in close proximity to the Medical Center. The cost of living in Western Massachusetts is significantly less than eastern Massachusetts. The Medical Center is located at the junction of major north/south and east/west highway systems for ease in traveling to the cities and shore.
