JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking a psychiatrist with experience and expertise to work at one of our lakeshore outpatient clinics. The position is responsible for providing assessment and subsequent care treatment and giving referrals and advocacy services for patients. Other responsibilities include upholding the highest quality care and keeping up with all best practices, standards and bylaws set by government agencies as well as the system. Additional responsibilities as designated by department or group including research and telepsychiatry. The Mental Health System is a Division of Psychiatry for Michigan State University’s College of Human Medicine now headquartered in Grand Rapids. Our psychiatrists are Adjunct Clinical Professors with clinical staff benefits.

OPTION #2 (ADDICTIONS PSYCHIATRY):
Excellent Addictions Psychiatrist Opportunity within New Co-Occurring Disorders Unit
One of the largest free-standing behavioral health providers in the U.S., is seeking an Addictions Psychiatrist to work within our new 22-bed Co-Occurring Disorders Unit. This unit will be dedicated to the treatment and care of patients with co-occurring disorders, making it one of only a couple of specialty treatment units in the country.

Excellent PMD Psychiatrist Opportunity

One of the largest free-standing behavioral health providers in the country, is seeking psychiatrists with experience and expertise in working with patients experiencing Perinatal Mood Disorders (PMD) in our outpatient and/or inpatient psychiatric settings.

Our community has identified psychiatric needs in PMD care and this position would allow the psychiatrist to have a focused practice in PMD care along with other adults in a varied case mix. PMD care is offered in our inpatient and outpatient settings. Also, the position would be able to help shape new PMD care in the community with an active PMD community based team. This position would be highly valued by and connected to area OB and other physicians and healthcare entities serving the PMD patient.

OPTION #4 (GERIATRIC PSYCHIATRY):

Excellent Geriatric Psychiatrist Opportunity

One of the largest free-standing behavioral health providers in the U.S., is seeking Geriatric Psychiatrists with experience and expertise in working with older adults in inpatient and/or outpatient settings. There are full-time and part-time positions, which report to the System's Chief Medical Officer and department Medical Director.
System has a 20-bed Older Adult Program. This program provides the full continuum of individualized care for older adults with dementia, depression and anxiety, as well as, medication management. System is a Division of Psychiatry for Michigan State University’s College of Human Medicine now headquartered in Grand Rapids.
