Adult/Geriatric/General Psychiatrist needed in Wilkes-Barre, PA!
Hospital is seeking a general psychiatrist with adult and geriatric interests to join the Community Mental Health Center. This person will be skilled in treating patients with co-occurring issues(psychiatric, drug & alcohol). This is 100% outpatient. You will see about 10-15 patients per day. These patients will be admitted to the Hospital. A typical work day will include psychiatric evaluations, outpatient medication and mental status checks. You will work as team leader of social workers, psychologists, physician assistants and RNs; to provide mental health services in adult mental health center.
This candidate must be a good diagnostician, flexible, great team player, communicates well with other professionals and increased knowledge of psychiatric medications. You will be on-call one out of every three weeks; phone only.
