About our area
City is located on the beautiful Northern California Redwood Coast approximately 80 miles south of the Oregon border. San Francisco is approximately 5 hours south. This community celebrates a rich heritage and sense of uniqueness from our stately Victorians and the historical facts which live with them, to our quaint beach cottages in our small coastal towns which also own a unique rich history each. We have diverse outdoor activities such as river rafting, kayaking and fishing on one of our many local rivers or our coastal ocean waters, surfing, bird watching, whale watching certain times of the year, year-around golf with your buddies, beachcombing, or simply visiting the mixed wildlife habitat or our botanical gardens.

Our community is greatly enhanced by the presence of a State University which offers a creative Performing Arts Center - theater, concerts, lectures, childrens enrichment programs, etc. There are also distinguished Blue Ribbon-awarded public schools as well as innovative and successful charter schools.

We offer an income guarantee, sign-on bonus, and relocation assistance and support from Administration and staff.
