Chief Medical Officer opportunity in Northeast Pennsylvania!!

Hospital is seeking a dynamic Physician Executive who will provide medical leadership to its 418-bed acute care facility in Pennsylvania. Hospital is an affiliate of the Health System and represents nearly 50 medical and surgical specialties.

This CMO role is crucial to foster and build key relationships with a diverse group of medical staff members, both employed and independent practicing physicians. This individual must be able to function as the staff’s advocate to Administration as well as Administration’s advocate to the staff. The CMO must be politically savvy to connect with a variety of key constituents including physicians, executive leadership, direct reports, peers, board members and community leaders. As an advisor and direct report to the CEO, the CMO will lead all activities of medical management which includes case management, outcomes management, medical education, credentialing, physician recruiting and provider relations.

The ideal candidate will possess:
•MD or DO with active medical license and be board certified.
•At least ten (10) years of clinical practice with a reputation as an excellent physician. Well-developed experience in Medical Administration with a minimum of 5 Years of previous experience as CMO/VPMA in a complex acute care facility is required.
•Advanced management degree (MBA, MMM, CPE etc.) is preferred.
