Director of Pathology needed 100 miles west of Chicago, IL!!
Opportunity for experienced pathologist to start and then become the Director of the Department when current pathologist retires at the end of the year. We have two pathologists retiring this year so position for another pathologist will be available also. One retires shortly and the Director retires at the end of this year.
The Director will assume responsibility for the overall operation and administration of the lab, including the employment of qualified personnel as specified in the Federal Registry.
The Director will not serve in a supervisory role but will be responsible for diagnoses, consulting with medical practitioners, performing autopsies and maintain general pathology competenices.
City of 26,000 people and services 4.5 counties in the NW Illinois area. Also located just 30 minutes Rockford, IL.
