Job Description:
The Department of Emergency Medicine is seeking a Full-time Emergency Physician to work in our fast paced Emergency Department. Candidates must be BC/BE in Emergency Medicine, IM (with pediatric experience) or FP, with an interest in Emergency Department Care. Health System offers an excellent hourly wage and benefits package. All candidates must be ACLS, PALS and ATLS certified.

Mayo Clinic Health System has an 80-bed hospital here, attached to a 70+ physician multi-specialty clinic serving 54,000 person service area. Our Emergency Department is adjacent to our Urgent Care and the overall area has 23 beds. Annual volume is for the ED is approximately 17,000 visits, with providers working 8 and 12 hour shifts. During higher volume times, two and three providers are scheduled. The Emergency Department sees a wide variety of medical conditions including pediatrics. Nursing and support staff are well trained and function as a team, with the focus on providing the best care to our patients.

A community of 23,000, it is surrounded by prairies, rivers and valleys just 90 minutes south of Minneapolis/St. Paul and 35 minutes west of Rochester. Excellent public and parochial education system, including programming for students with special needs and gifted students. Great recreation options including trout fishing, hunting, cross-country skiing, camping, hiking, cycling, indoor/outdoor tennis, canoeing and golfing.
