The salary range for ED is $130-150/hr, site dependent. Physicians are paid for extra hours worked above their commitment at this hourly rate. The tuition reimbursement is as follows physician: $5000, spouse: $2000, dependent children: $6000

Full-Time Benefits

Health Insurance

The Employer will provide full-premium-paid health, dental and vision insurance coverage for Physician and Physician’s dependents.

Travel/Seminar Allowances

The Employer will reimburse Physician for expenses associated with continuing medical education conference and seminar costs in an amount not to exceed $3,500 annually.

Retirement Benefit

The physician will receive $15,000 per year for retirement. These funds can be:

Deferred into a 403(b) and 401(a) Savings Plan, which is subject to the IRS limits. This is a voluntary plan that is available immediately to the physician. The physician is vested in the plan immediately.

Deferred into the Cash Balance Plan after working 1000 hours (can only join in July or January). The funds will automatically be deferred after the eligibility requirement. The physician is vested in the plan immediately except for any interest credits received. The physician must have 3 years of service before they are vested in the interest credits.

Both of these plans are qualified.

Physician can voluntarily contribute additional pre-tax funds.

Physician can also voluntarily contribute additional funds on an after-tax basis, to the 401(a) Plan, up to 6% of annual base salary.

Flexible Spending Account

The Employer will provide Physician with the opportunity to participate in one or more Section 125 plans under which Physician may elect certain benefits including dependent care assistance and medical expense reimbursement on a pre-tax salary reduction basis.

Malpractice Insurance

Employer shall provide occurrence-based professional malpractice liability insurance for Physician for professional services rendered by Physician on behalf of Employer in the coverage amounts (limits of liability) of $500,000/$1,500,000 primary and $500,000/$1,500,000 excess (MCare Fund) or such other amounts required by PA State law.

Incentive Plan

Physicians have the opportunity to earn additional income based on productivity and performance measures.

Short-Term Disability

The Employer will provide Physician with short-term disability benefits for a period of up to twenty-six (26) weeks, equal to sixty percent (60%) of annual base salary with a maximum payment of $20,000 per month.

Long-Term Disability

The Employer will provide Physician with long-term disability as described in the Physician Summary of Benefits.

Professional Expenses

The Employer will pay directly or reimburse medical staff dues at those hospitals specified in the Employment Agreement or any other hospital or other medical facility at which Physician maintains medical staff appointment and privileges and is assigned to by Employer. Further, Employer will pay or reimburse (a) the cost of renewing Physician Pennsylvania State Medical License, (b) registration cost of Board certification or re-certification as may be required or approved by Employer, and dues assessed by not more than one (1) professional society as approved by Employer.

Vacation

The physician has 4 weeks unpaid vacation time and 2 weeks of unpaid CME time per year.

Physicians will accrue 2 (8-hour) days of paid vacation for every full-time year worked with Employer starting with the second year worked.

Holidays

Physicians will receive twice their hourly rate for the following holidays:

New Year’s Eve (all shifts except 1st shift)

New Year’s Day

Memorial Day

Independence Day

Labor Day

Thanksgiving

Christmas

Tuition Assistance

Tuition benefit is available for Physician and their dependents. Eligible costs will be reimbursed up to $3500 for the Physician, $2000 for a spouse and $5000 for dependent children.
