General Adult Psychiatry Opportunity in Metro Eastern PA!!
Our position is an employed position with a very busy practice. You need to be board eligible (and eventually become board certified) or board certified already. It is primarily an outpatient opportunity with inpatient work out of hospital. The call is 1:6 weekends where you will be expected to round on all patients at hospital and do consults. Week night coverage in done on rotation, but ED admissions are done by a caseworker who screens and does the intake, you would only get called and very rarely need to come in.
We compensate fairly with a bonus structure available along with extra compensation for taking weekend call at another hospital – if you want – it is not required. We have a rich benefit plan that includes malpractice, medical and dental coverage, vacation, CME allowance, etc.
Psychiatry – Adult
1. Employed position
2. Board Certified or Board Eligible
3. Outpatient, Acute Inpatient and Partial Hospital Services
4. Mostly outpatient work
a. Will see 18 years + or younger if physician is OK with that
5. On Call rotation for weekend Inpatient Coverage and Consults. (1:6)
6. Average daily census 20
a. 23 beds primary hospital
b. 19 beds another hospital
c. 5 PM Friday through 8:30 AM Monday
7. Week night coverage on a rotation.
a. ED admissions done by case worker who screen and do intakes, doc gets called do not need to come in
8. Added hours (and compensation) for secondary hospital
a. $1,400 per weekend
9. Very busy schedule
a. 2 evals per day and about 12-15 med mgmt per day
b. 20 min med checks/follow ups – 3 per hour
c. 1 hour for new patient evals
10. Salary negotiable and competitive with MGMA
