Primary Care Physician needed in Metro NYC - Queens!!
Must be comfortable working in an office that performs Termination procedures (you will NOT perform terminations).

Qualifications:
New York State Board Certified or Board Eligible
Current New York State Medical License
Professional clinical experience in Internal Medicine, Obstetrics, Gynecology or Family Practice, preferred but not required
Interest and willingness to be trained in OB GYN treatment and surgical procedures
**PRIMARY CARE PHYSICIAN WILL HELP TREAT: UTIs, GYN procedures, etc. but not the Obstetrical work
Job Summary: In conjunction with client’s medical policies and procedures, to provide medical services to an expanding patient population and age range that includes geriatric, pre-abortion and post-abortion patients, male patients and prenatal patients under the supervision of the medical director and be trained to handle a full scope of primary care services including but not limited to diagnosis, treatment, coordination of care, preventive care and health maintenance. Further, to provide other medical services to the patients on an as needed basis, be familiar with the philosophy, goals and objectives of client and to work collaboratively to achieve them.
Responsibilities:
To spearhead and supervise the expansion and growth of primary and immediate care services to an expanding patient population provided by client.
To set up, organize and maintain books, records and operations for client’s primary and immediate care services.
To form a personal relationship with patients that facilitates a partnership for health and wellness.
To obtain health history and perform physical examinations and to diagnose and direct counseling for each patient on a plan of treatment, maintaining continuity of each patient’s health care and medical records to include documentation of all services provided as well as specialty services.
To perform physical examinations that include a comprehensive health, psycho-social and developmental history, a mental, emotional and behavioral assessment and certain laboratory tests as needed.
To prescribe medication in accordance with New York State statute, professional practice guidelines and the guidelines of client.
To be able to identify indicators of substance abuse or domestic violence using clients education materials and refer patients to Clients counselors.
To perform minor surgical procedures
To arrange referral for patients requiring services not offered by Client.
To review incoming reports (e.g. Labs, x-rays, EKG, etc.) signing, dating and following up in a timely manner
To perform patient’s pre-operative physical examinations.
To be willing to be trained in OB GYN surgical procedures including but not limited to surgical interruption of pregnancies.
To medically supervise the patients prior to any procedure being performed.
To direct the medical supervision of all complication calls and appropriate follow up.
To comply with the Clients Infection Control plan which includes personally utilizing universal precautions and to ensure compliance by support staff.
To assist in updating protocols and principles of practice as requested.
To adhere to SDS productivity standards and meet at least the minimum requirements.
To maintain an affiliation with professional groups, medical associations and organizations as per policies established and represented by National Health Services, Inc. in all meeting of these associations and organizations.
To provide medical coverage on an as needed basis until all abortion patients are discharged.
