The department of Pediatrics at the School of Medicine/University
is recruiting a Chief of the Division of General Pediatrics.

Highlights include:
¥ Division is comprised of 30 faculty and staff
¥ Responsible for administration and leadership of Division
¥ Discharge of its clinical responsibilities
¥ Further development of its research and educational mission
¥ Fostering career development for faculty and staff
¥ Report directly to Chair
¥ General Division and department mission requires close cooperation with

Division of Medicine-Pediatrics
The Division describes itself as a diverse, dynamic and enthusiastic group who value
collaborative and complementary approaches for addressing the ongoing growth
opportunities in patient care, education and research. There are multiple programs within
the Division, including the pediatrics residency program.

Professional requirements include:
1) current board-certification in pediatrics
2) nationally recognized track record of teaching and/or research, service and
administration and
3) eligibility for rank of Associate or Full Professor.

The ideal candidate will have additional training in medical education, administration or research.
Personal characteristics of successful candidates will include excellent communication,
leadership and team building skills; the ability to plan, build and implement programs;
the ability to think strategically; a strong work ethic; and a commitment to mentoring and
diversity.

Medical Center is a fully accredited JCAHO hospital and is a 871-bed tertiary referral center, providing acute,
intermediate, rehabilitation, and outpatient health services to more than 1.4 million
