New: Family/Sports Medicine Opportunity in Southeast Ohio!!

Our current Physician development plan showed there are an insufficient number of qualified family practice sports medicine physicians to meet the needs of the community within the Medical Center's service area.

Here is a rough outline of the expectations/offering:

"" provide direct patient care in a medical practice at the medical offices; ""direct patient care"" shall mean and include time spent on office visits, may include care of patients at the Medical Center and hospital rounds if a hospital practice is desired, dictation of charts, telephone consultation and related patient services; must communicate with other members of the medical staff, as well as coaches, school administration, athletes and their families.
"" If the Physician desires to have a hospital practice - maintain a medical office open for patient visits not less than twenty-eight (28) hours per week for at least forty-six (46) weeks per year. The office hours shall be exclusive of, and in addition to all medical services provided by Physician in the Medical Center.
"" If the Physician elects not to have a hospital practice they will be required to maintain a medical office open for patient visits not less than thirty-four (34) hours per week for at least forty-six (46) weeks per year.
"" Maintain a personal residence within thirty (30) minutes driving time to the Medical Center.
"" Physician shall be available to and on call for their patients. Availability and on call status shall be subject to existing on call procedures of the Medical Center and Corporation.

Compensation:
"" Base Salary. An annual base salary in the range of $200,000 and higher with experience. We will review and discuss with Physician the amount of the annual base salary at the end of the second year and each year thereafter to determine whether an adjustment is appropriate.
"" Productivity Bonus. The Physician shall be eligible for a productivity bonus. An annual baseline for work relative value units (""wRVUs"") will be set using MGMA survey data as a guide. If Physician exceeds the annual wRVU baseline, Corporation shall pay Physician, as a productivity bonus, the amount of Thirty nine dollars and 22/100 Dollars ($39.22) per wRVU in excess of the baseline, up to a maximum productivity bonus of 20,000.00 for each twelve (12) month period.
o The productivity bonus will be calculated and paid on a calendar year basis.
o Any productivity bonus earned shall be paid to Physician within 60 days of the end of the calendar year, and shall be subject to all applicable withholdings required for federal, state and local taxes.
o If Physician fails to meet the expected wRVUs for any calendar year, there will be no adjustment to the base salary amount for that calendar year. The actual wRVUs worked by Physician during each calendar year will be used to adjust the base salary amount for the next calendar year.
o Following the expiration of the initial term, Employer and physician will negotiate in good faith to adjust the wRVU baseline and per wRVU amount to, consistent with fair market value standards.

In addition to the base compensation the following fringe benefits will be provided:

"" CME and Professional Dues. Employer will provide payment on behalf of Physician for all expenses reasonably incurred by Physician with respect to continuing medical education activities attended by Physician and for the dues related to maintenance of membership in local, state and national associations and medical licensure fee, provided that annual expenses and dues shall not exceed in the aggregate five thousand dollars ($5,000).
"" Vacation and Holidays. Physician shall be entitled to six (6) weeks vacation and CME time during each year of employment. In addition, Physician shall be entitled to time off for Holidays observed by Superior Med.
