Compensation-depends on experience, but ball park starting at $170,000+ plus there is a productivity bonus and quality bonuses.
PTO: 3 weeks vacation plus 1 week for CME. There is flexibility to switch weeks with other Hospitalists to give yourself max time off.
Retirement: they match 50% up to 6% of total compensation

Call is 1:3 but they have House Officers (sounds like they are quite helpful; they set consultations up!)
They don't work a ""shift"" so there is great flexibility in your personal schedule. Some Hospitalists don't come in until lunchtime to start their work.
It is a 7on/7off daytime position with night call from home. There are house doctors that do a brief H&P and orders on patients initially. Overnight we primarily get calls from the ER to accept patients. Most other minor issues are handled by house docs in house overnight. We see our patients in ICU but procedures are optional (most current hospitalists opt not to do them). The house doctors, rapid response team, and code team are separate from the hospitalist service and are in house 24/7. Although we admit primarily through the ED, we also do consults and occasionally direct admit. We have relationships with several of the large academic centers in Philadelphia so patients are easily transferred for very specialized care if needed.
