Opportunity for BE/BC Psychiatrist to be the Medical Director of a new 14-bed Gero-Psych Unit at the Hospital. Clinical responsibilities include rounding on inpatient unit, evaluation and management of psychiatric patients in the Emergency Department, and providing psychiatric consults for medical-surgical patients. Hospital is also looking for additional Psychiatrists to assist with inpatient coverage of the Gero-Psych Unit. Experience with geriatric patients is required. Opportunity to start an outpatient practice in the community, if desired.
The new inpatient unit will open in December. A definite need for behavioral health services in the community has been identified through extensive research. The Hospital service area reaches over 100,000 people. There is an excellent recruitment package that includes:
