The current market has a need for 6 pediatricians. Currently there are 3 in a single specialty group. While this group was established in 1970, the senior partners have retired within the past few years. With the retirement of the senior leadership, 3 pediatricians made a decision to leave the market this year, leaving the group with only 2. Since there is unrest in the current group, the hospital intends to provide coverage for the community by founding a hospital employed single specialty practice. The beginning of this practice will be 3 additional pediatricians in the market. Call coverage (C-Sections) will be 1:3.
