We anticipate the admissions program to be 7 on/7 off 24hrs/day."

POSITION: Acute Care Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (ACCRNP), supervised by appropriate MD or DO

JOB SUMMARY:
oThe ACRNP is responsible for providing hands-on care to medical patients in the hospital inpatient setting that would include unassigned patients and to accept patients for admission from other physicians as agreed upon. The collaborative agreement shall be updated by the collaborating physician and the ACCRNP whenever it is changed substantively. This collaborative agreement shall spell out the following, but is not limited to the following:
o The ACCRNP may prescribe drugs by satisfying the requirements of the PA Code Title 49, Professional and Vocational Standards, Subchapter C, § 18.55 Collaborative Agreement.
o Identify the area of practice in which the ACCRNP is certified.
o Specify the circumstances and how often the collaborating physician will personally see the patient, based on the type of practice, sites of service and condition of the patient.
o Specify the conditions under which the ACCRNP may prescribe a Schedule II controlled substance for up to 72 hours.
o Specify the amount of professional liability insurance carried by the ACRNP.
o The ACRNP shall notify the Bureau whenever a collaborative agreement of a ACRNP who prescribes or dispenses drugs I updated or terminated.
