GI Positions (2) near Tampa, FL!!

Seeking to recruit two GIs to join hospital employed network of physicians. The goal would build a 2 person GI office. The current network includes: 5 PCPs and 3 General Surgeons.
(NOTE: there is also an option for incoming physician to consider a solo income guarantee arrangement).

There is a loyal referral base of 8-12 physicians (60% FPs, 40% IMs).

Call Coverage: to be arranged. At least 1 in 2, with the possibility of 1 in 3 for ER call. Incoming physicians would be required to take 10 days of ER call per month.

Office Space: available adjacent to the hospital in the medical arts building.

Competitive financial package to include guarantee salary 1-2 years plus WRVU incentive bonus,3rd year WRVU production model, commencement bonus, potential for medical education debt assistance, nice fringe benefits (relocation expenses, CME, vacation, retirement-401k, life/medical/dental/vision, malpractice insurance, disability). We use MGMA guidelines for determining salary. It is also based on experience and credentials.

There are 7 GIs in the area (Brooksville and Spring Hill) - all private practice.

There are two ASC in the area: one is owned by hospital and the other is a joint venture 70/30 with physicians.

A certified primary stroke center and acredited chest pain center, it is a 120 bed facility, with state of the art technology including advanced imaging and the MAKO robotic system. Hospital also has a dedicated orthopedic joint center, a cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation program, a diabetic rehabilitation program and sleep disorders center. This hospital is partially owned by physicians.

Located near the West Coast of Florida, city is 45 miles from Tampa, 15 miles east of the Gulf of Mexico and is nestled among beautiful rolling hills. City houses the North Campus of the Community College, a business section with 11 shopping centers, and a regional airport six miles away. Three city parks offer walking trails, sports, picnic facilities and golf. State Park and Water Park offer fun-filled family days. Less than two hours east, Orlando is home to Walt Disney World, Universal Studios and a plethora of other world class attractions.
