Interventional Cardiology Opportunity in Western North Carolina!!
There are a lot of reasons to consider western North Carolina for the rest of
your career...and as your new personal and professional home.
The views are spectacular; the coffee is piping hot; the community is generous in its support;
the golf courses are inviting; the location is central to the mountains and a half-day
drive to the beaches of the Atlantic; and the hospital is staffed by a collegial medical staff
that needs your services to continue our pace of growth.

Welcoming, Family-friendly Community
You won’t be a stranger for long in our community. We welcome new-comers with open
arms. Our temperate climate means mild winters with a little snow for effect, but also a
long gardening season complimented by the changing seasons and their colors. We are
within easy access of major metropolitan centers as well as mountain retreat villages and
offer a pleasant suburban lifestyle. Our innovative public school system (K-12) plus Community
College and Technical Institute and Appalachian State University make
education a valued commodity. The arts and culture are alive and well. Local and touring
talent keep us entertained in both grand and down-home comfortable style. The great
outdoors are just outside our door. Hiking, biking, kayaking, fly fishing, golf, tennis, skiing,
horse-back riding and mountain climbing are just some of the things to keep you busy
here.

Growing Medical Community:
Hospital is the choice for healthcare in the County. The
Physicians network provides the majority of primary care and select specialty care to our
market through nine separate practice groups and locations. Our Emergency Department
sees about 30,000 visits a year. A team of hospitalists manages inpatient care for the
majority of our physicians and provides medical consults and medical management of
surgical patients as required.
Notable Equipment and Capabilities:
MRI; CT; Nuclear Medicine; Cardiac Cath Lab; PACS-RIS; Linear Accelerator; Digital
Mammography; Stereotactic Breast Biopsy; Outpatient Surgery Center; Approved Community
Hospital Cancer Program with Commendation by the American College of Surgeons;
affiliate of the Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center Comprehensive
Cancer Center with access to the NCI clinical trials; Residency trained & Board-Certified
Emergency Medicine physicians; Pain Management Center; Neurology & Memory Center;
Rehabilitation Services; Surgical services in General Surgery, ENT, Orthopedics, Ophthalmology,
Ob/Gyn, Urology, Vascular and Endovascular.

The Opportunity:
A respected regional group of cardiologists seeks an interventionist to join their group to
serve the patients in the County portion of their market. Our patients and our
physicians prefer to have medical procedures cared for within our home county network.
We seek a physician with the experience and desire to initiate an interventional program
at our hospital. The regional heart hospital is 20 minutes away for backup. We have an
active cath lab with room for capacity to be filled, an office adjacent to the hospital with
nuclear medicine, 3-D Echo and limited vascular imaging in-office. The practice model
can be flexible: with start-up support and income guarantee provided by the hospital as a
solo practitioner with call support from the regional group or to have an income guarantee
directly from the regional practice group within their corporate structure. Come. Explore
the options for a great career change for you by giving stellar care to our patients.
