Adult Psychiatrist
THE DEPARTMENT OF PSYCHIATRY & BEHAVIORAL HEALTH SERVICES AT MAYO CLINIC HEALTH SYSTEM IS SEEKING A FIFTH GENERAL ADULT PSYCHIATRIST TO JOIN OUR PRACTICE.
The diversified out-patient and in-patient General Adult Psychiatry practice involves caring for patients with a broad spectrum of diagnoses in the many communities included in our service area of 240,000 and is part of a multi-disciplinary Psychiatry/Behavioral Services Department. The behavioral/mental health team includes four general adult psychiatrists, a child-adolescent psychiatrist, clinical psychologists, therapists, social workers, RN’s and chemical dependency staff. There is a DBT clinic and a number of well-established residential programs. Call will be 1:5.
QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must be board-certified/board-eligible in Psychiatry. Subspecialty interest/fellowship training is welcome.

Child-Adolsescent Psychiatrist
A second Child-Adolescent Psychiatrist is needed to join the Psychiatry Department-
Mayo Health System. Board certification/eligibility in Child-Adolescent Psychiatry is required. The practice will primarily include child-adolescent outpatient psychiatry. A second child-adolescent psychiatrist will allow improvement in same-day access. System has a well-established Child Development Service and an adolescent DBT program. There is also a day-treatment service integrated with the area schools. The Psychiatry Department/ Behavioral Health Services includes four general adult psychiatrists, a child-adolescent psychiatrist and an extensive team of clinical psychologists (including a child-adolescent psychologist), nurse clinicians, Masters prepared clinical therapists, social workers, RN’s and a chemical dependency staff. Our child-adolescent psychiatrist currently participates in the general psychiatry call schedule, and candidates will be expected to do the same. This includes weekend call coverage and rounding for the 16-bed adult inpatient treatment unit.
Psychiatry and Behavioral Health Healthcare are focused on acute and community mental health services and are integrated into each of the Healthcare regional primary care clinics. This network also includes well-established chemical dependency treatment programs and residential services. The outpatient office for Psychiatry/Behavioral Health Services is located a few blocks north of the main medical facility.

LaCrosse, WI, is a city of 52,000 with a metro area of 120,000 in the Upper Mississippi River Valley, located between Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN, and Madison, WI.
