Client is seeking a Medical Director for one of its West Virginia Psychiatric inpatient units. This is a 52 bed facility consisting of one 34 bed adult unit and a separate 18 bed Geriatric unit.
Administrative duties are minimal (20 hrs/month) and clinical responsibilities will be mostly for adult unit. There are three other psychiatrists on staff. Call is 1:4 and is telephone only.
The hospital is offering a competitive base salary, incentive bonus, medical director stipend and complete benefits package. Academic affiliation with nearby WVU in Morgantown is possible. This area qualifies as a medically underserved, and loan repayment options are available. This is a wonderful family community with plenty of year round outdoor activity. Skiing, water sports and golf are all at hand. There are excellent school choices, and housing options are abundant and affordable.
